Volunteer Requirements
Based on feedback from the Spring/Fall Parent Survey conducted by the league the follow Volunteer requirements have been established:
Each Parent of a San Jose American Little League Player will be required to:
Write a check to San Jose American Little League for $150. This check will be held in the League lock box until you complete your volunteer hours. Once your hours are completed the check will be returned to you by the League Treasurer.
Exemptions: You will be exempt from these requirements only if you are a team manager or coach.
Requirements
Snack Shack: Each Parent is required to work a minimum of 2 games in the Snack Shack. This year you will be able to complete your snack shack hours on the days that work best for you. The complete snack shack schedule is posted on the website by clicking on the snack shack button on any page of the website. You can sign up for the games, days, times that work best for you and your schedule. If for some reason you cannot work the shift you signed up for you will be required to find a replacement. If you are not able to find a replacement please contact the league volunteer coordinator to help in finding a replacement. If you are a no show for your time and did not attempt to find a replacement then you will forfeit your $150 deposit.
Additional Requirements: Each parent is also required to complete four (4) additional hours of volunteer time. There are several volunteer opportunities including but not limited to: Field clean up days, opening ceremonies, Hit A Ton, Closing ceremonies or umpire just to name a few.
Tracking Hours: Snack Shack hours will be tracked online. Additional volunteer hours will be track using the 2009 Volunteer hour tracking form. The hours must be signed off by the member of San Jose American Little League board member responsible for the event.
